At 8 months old you are...

• Crawling ALL over the place!! Well army crawling.... Miss GI Jane!
• You are so cuddly...
• Your favorite foods are sweet potatoes and pears... you have started finger foods and are doing well
• You dont like peas.
• You still watch the puppies every move and pull his ears and tail in hopes he will play with you.
• You dont sit still and even you doctor comments on HOW BUSY YOU ARE.
• At your 7 month appt you only had one shot! You are 75th percentile in Height and Weight and 97th percentile in HEAD!! As they would say in Freeport, Girl gotta big ol noggin!
• You LOVE people! Especially little kids.
• You are a WONDERFUL sleeper (I hope I am not jinxing myself) Your bedtime is usually 8 and you sleep until 8.
• You are cutting teeth. This makes you fussy at times. Mommy thinks it is your bottom four. At this point only one has broken through.
• Your favorite activity right now is for Mommy or Daddy to lay on the floor while you climb all over us.
• You have found the puppys water bowl.
• You like to crawl around with a washcloth hanging out of your mouth.
• We have ditched the infant car seat and you are now sitting in the big girl cart at the store.
• You looked at daddy at the park the other day and said DA DA.
• You climbed five stairs at Lolly and Pops the other day.
• You LOVE your Uncle Matty and your Uncle Egg
• You sleep with at least 4 pacifiers in your crib and when we lay you down for bedtime you switch them out until you find the perfect one.
• Mommy and Daddy will go into your nursery while your sleeping just to talk about how big you have gotten.
• You are sitting on the floor right now pulling out all of the diapey wipes... this is why I have to stop typing.

Update

We have been so busy and overwhelmed with so much going on lately! Summer is finally here though it is hard to tell with all this rain here in Chicago. Here are some of the things we have been doing!

• Joey's Dad and his wife Robin came out and visited during Easter for a week to hang with the grandbaby! We had such a blast with them and cant wait to go visit them out in Oregon!
• Joey graduated with his B.S. in Project Management May 5th! We flew back to Florida for the week and had sooooo much fun. Scarlett was great on her first plane flight and flirted with everyone she could lay her eyes on! We went to the pools at our house everyday and she loved every bit of it! She misses Florida just like her momma!
• Joey's Mom and her boyfriend Marko came to visit to be with the grandbaby right after that! We had tons of laughs and hope to see her soon again!
• From then on was continued celebrations for Chloes highschool grad and Colleens as well. I cant believe both my sisters are growing up so fast! Scarlett LOVES her Aunts and wants their attention as much as possible. Uncle Egg and Aunt Jenna came out and Scarlett fell in LOVE with them. Erik is the cutest Uncle ever and cant wait for us to hang again.
• After that Joey had a SECOND surgery for his ulnar nerve.... It had been getting worse by the day as he has lost all feeling in two of his fingers and also most of his grip=(. So we started from square one with a new doctor, new MRI, testings, blah blah. The surgery went well. I am so glad it is over. It was nice to have him home for a full week after his surgery though he cant pick up the baby he was still a big help! i hope that things get better with hs arm as he is already feeling some improvement. Only time will tell.

Our plans this summer have been on hold because of his arm... I cant believe it is June!! We hope to go home again and are praying for a fix to the oil spill. It is incredibly sad on what is going on and hope that things get better. We dont need to be hit with yet another disaster down there. I pray that this hurricane season is good to us!
